  1. What does the word ‘chocolate’ mean and from where did the word originally come? The word come from two Mayan words meaning “ warm drink”
  2. From which people does the legend of the prophet bringing the cacao seeds from paradise come? The Aztec people.
  3. When was chocolate produced in large amounts? In the early  19th century.

  4.    What is the difference between cacao and cocoa? The cacao is a dark substance seeds and the cocoa is the edible version.
  5.    In your own words describe how the cacao bean was introduced to Spain.
The spanish people and the mexicans were at war.The spanish won so then they took over the mexicans. As the mexicans had cacao beans there.
  6.    Describe London’s attitude to chocolate during the 18th century. Upload your description to your individual blog after conferencing with the teacher.

k.f.c was brought up in kentucky and in my way i think the chiefs from kentucky went around the world to make more money.



  8.   Chocolate is a Mayan word. Name five foods that have names coming from different
