Having a netbook connected to the internet has helped me in my learning and helped me to complete my work on time.
The netbook has really helped me achieve my learning. The netbook we even use for online mathswhizz. Our key competencies we do with our netbooks we think to get through tough questions we relate to others with comments we use signs and symbols t manage myself and i participate and contrbute

Dance Fever

On Thursday Room 10 went to the school hall for dance fever.

our teachers names were Kristina and Captain.

they taught us the hip hop dance, the cha cha, and the fox shot.

the fox shot was the easiest dance of them all the hip hop was the coolest of them all.

but there was one thing some of room 10 couldn't get over in the cha cha dance it was holding hands with your girl partner.

everyone was being silly and not doing the dance properly when finally everyone got over it. :)

House Sports

On Monday Green 1 and yellow 1 was with Mrs Tofa I ran and came 1st a couple of times and Christian came 1st nearly all the time some of the girls were being bullies to the little kids but Mrs Tofa said that if your bigger than who your versing you have to give them a 5 or 10 second head start.

Orienteering

This morning the orienteering people came to Glenbrae School and taught us about orienteering. They taught us about the signs like we went out to do some orienteering up on our school field.

Once upon a time there lived three sister’s, there names are Seara, Holly, and Jk their  mother’s name is rose. The sad thing about the three sister’s is they have no dad because there dad left them ever since when they were babies. But still look up to there mother and they respect her in  any kind of different ways. Seara asked her mum why did dad left them and mum said he left when he first found  out mum was having babies. So seara told mum WOW that just happened fast then mum told Seara to not  say a word about dad to Holly or Jk seara said yes i promise so after they talked about dad they all hoped in the car ready to all shopping. Holly and Jk really wanted to know what was going on between Seara and mum but Seara or mum will still wouldn’t say anything to them. So Holly and Jk is trying to get them to tell them what are the things they are hiding away from us. Holly told Jk that she really want’s to know why did dad leave them and all those stuff mum and Seara was talking about. Holly said to Jk that she feels left out in everything mum and Seara is not telling them about things mum and Seara was talking about

On Tuesday everyone in the whole of glenbrae school went for house sports

and kauri 1 (green Group 1) vursed Kowhai 1 (Yellow group 1) at the shot put and the yellow house won the match of the day.

Narrative

On a nice dark Friday the Knight Riders and bad boys took their fireworks to Auckland. Its was

the Knight Riders, bad boys, and the Pyrotechnics.

When they got to Auckland they went to the Auckland Domain for the Christmas in the park. they were letting off little fireworks for the opening.

Then they just waited for the end so they could  let off the big fireworks like the ground shaker and the sky rockets and stuff.

Then if they still had more fireworks left over some people go over to the people who organize the firework ask if they can have some and they just give them away.

Transportation

Hip Hop Recount

On the 17th of October Room 10 went for hip hop in the school hall. Our leaders names were called Captain, and Christina they taught us a lot of hip hop

moves. at the end we had a little game where girls vs boys dance battle the boys won because boys rule as they always do.

Camp

When we were at camp it all started with a splash Here are some of the things we did over and some this i like at OPC. Great Barrier Island is the most coolest place i have ever been. Some of the camp was really tiring but was really great!

I liked the rope course,overnight camping,kayaking those were my favorite things my team did at great barrier island with our instructor Latesha.

It was the first camp Glenbrae students have ever been to in history we are going to be in the year book.

1.I liked the rope course because it was a challenge for me to face my fear of heights.

2.i also liked the kayaking because it was a great experience to all of us.

3.my favorite thing at camp was the overnight

camping because we went out to sleep under the stars at barbecue bay.

I felt happy going to GBI karaka bay for camp it was amazing learning about outdoors and how to keep yourself safe  out in the wild.

Teleporting in the future

Have you ever had super powers like teleporting. Teleporting is form of transportation that  can take you anywhere you would like to be going around the world. I think teleporting can be useful  because it could help you in difficult situations, it’s renewable, it can take you safely from place to place.

Firstly I think teleporting can be useful because it could help you in difficult situations, like for an example if you are in danger you can teleport to a safe place.   

Secondly teleporting is powerless and that becomes handy because you can use it as many times as you want.

Thirdly teleporting is unpredictable,

because your safest place could be the police station, but it teleports you to the next safe place which is home.

Conclusion:

Take teleporting to the government for it to be processed so it can go to every city in NZ and also We will  have a safer community because criminals will see there’s “NO” Point in doing crime.

Hello My name is

Tama Ruapera i was born in 2001 4th of February and i like lots of sports and

my favorite sport is scootering and league. Those are my two favorite sport.

Darren Lewis Rupapera is my dads name he like trucking and forklifting and he works at Watt & Hughes.My mums name is Crystal Tata loves me just like i love her she works at vodafone and she is the manager of it.I go to Glenbrae Primary School my teachers names are Mrs Raj and Mrs Silva

and Ms Valoa.They are the best teachers you could ever have.My hope is to have a good education.And my dream is to be in the navy.

I am a good caring brother to my siblings i care about my mum as well as my brother and sister

My Squash Sessions

On Droopy day with little bits of rain drizzling down we were playing a really exciting sport called Squash. we had teachers in our Squash our first teachers name was Ricardo and our second teacher was Tristan they were really cool teacher.

we learnt about skills how to play Squash and how to do rally’s.

The next day everyone in room 10 had a tournament I was in group 4 the very last team then I went up to group 3 because I Beat everyone in group 4. then I moved up to group 2 because I beat everyone in group 3 after group 2 i went on to group 1 where all the good players were for example Christian he was the top player all though I went through all group to get to group 1. Getting all the 1 was a really big challenge me.

My Holiday Recount

In the holidays i went to Kiwi Yo.  

A place where you can make your own ice cream and put your own toppings on your ice cream.

Just after we finished our ice cream we went up the Michael Savage step it was really dark while we were walking up the steps it reminded me of the Exorcist.

The next day I went scootering with my friends Zane and Luke also James we all were at Cross field skate park it was really cool see some friends over the holidays.

Then on Friday I went to the Nga Ti Whatua holiday program everyone who was in the holiday program had a great day we all went to the movie’s to watch the movie Epic. The movie was alright i think it was cool and boring at the same time THEN WE WENT ROCK CLIMBING in Mt Wellington it was AWESOME.

For the end of the holiday I went to the Night At the Museum the Auckland Domain Museum we all had to find clue from floor to floor it was really dark and scary we had really light torches very light

at the end when we got our clue finished we watched a play with captain Neptune he was giving everyone a free and fake hair cut he was the last clue to finish our paper to get a chocolate.

Soccer Skills

On Tuesday 9th of July we went out for a tournament of soccer

with our coach Ben he is as cool as me.

team 6 was our team in our soccer group we had Lisiate,June,Me,

and Malulu we lost one game against team one they are really good at playing soccer they won all their game they're as good as  a championship football team.

In our next game we played team 4 team 4 had Anamanu,Alex,Jezebel,and Chanel and we won against them we beat them twice all of us said “good game” to each other and walked off to another game we were flying like the wind.

Then we had the finals we versed team 3 and we won against them

as well as we did with team 4 in team 4 was Siupeli,Pako,Katalina,and Douglas they were a pretty good team but not good enough to beat team 6 we won our final soccer in the soccer.then we all huddled in and June said to Ben “on the behave of room 10 we would like to thank for teaching us soccer skills and teaching us how to play soccer properly”

Then we headed off back to the classroom.

I was on Maths whizz and I was playing the dinosaur lesson and i won against Anthony Latu.

It was a dark cold night. My sister went on a trip to Paris and was going to her friends family’s place when she got to Paris they went straight to her friend’s family’s place on the way there they meet a man he said,“ hi my name Jericho you taking a taxi want to share mine” so they said yes then he dropped them off to the apartment and then asked them if they want to come to a party tonight they said yea why not  so they went up to the apartment looked around a felt happy her friend turn on the radio and started to dance everywhere then I rang her up she wouldn't pick the phone up I rang her again and she picked up she went into the toilets for a quiet spot she looked out the toilet window and saw some men in black suits.

She said to me “they got her they got her” “who” “the men in black suits” “ okay go to next room and hid under the bed you're  gonna have to get taken” “ no I don’t want to I scared” “ okay if they take you leave the phone under the bed and start shouting out what their wearing wear colour hair facials okay” “okay” “just wait i can can hear them talking” AHHH  Maggie MAGGIE “ who ever you are  I don’t know what you want or what your after just let her go and I won’t find you but if you don’t i will find and i will dominate you,” “good luck.”

On Sunshine Online I went to I want to act and did the
tool story book it was hard to get all the information down
on your own book because you had to write something about
the picture.

Today I went on and I completed the
Dinosaur and I got 30 credits.

Our Soccer Game

Today Tuesday we had a game of soccer there was the red team, blue team,yellow,and the no bib team. we all had a game i think the no bibs won the games because they stayed on for the longest the last game that was won by was yellow team. Then we packed up and put the bibs back in a pile each colour and the bibs colours were as colourful as a rainbow.

Our First Football session

In our first football session we had a game of octopus to start

off as a warm up. After our games of octopus we did some juggling

with the soccer balls we paired up in two I was paired up with Anamanu our coaches name was Ben. Then we finished off with a game of soccer the score was 1 all.

Pancakes

Title:Scones

What you Need:Large bowl,(a food processor if you have one),a wooden spoon,a ladle and a specular or a fish slice.        Ingredients: 1) 4tbsp plain flour (about 100g) 2) 1 free range egg. 3) ½ pint semi-skimmed milk+water(about 3mls) ¾ milk ¼ water 4) a pinch of salt 5) and butter for pan

Steps 1.sieve the flour and salt into a large bowl and make a well in the mixture 2.break in the egg and stir to make a bread crumby mix 3.in a jug add ⅓ of a pint of milk and top up with water to make ½  a pint 200mls of milk 100mls of water. add the milk and water mix bit by bit beating constantly to avoid lumps 4.pop the frying pan over a medium heat add a large knob of butter ( roughly 5g) and melt 5.pour the excess butter into a small bowl and reserve it for later 6.using a ladle pour a spoon full of pancake batter into the hot pan and swirl to get a full covering cook for about 1 minute both sides its read when its easy to flip over. 7.serve immediately icing sugar chocolate sauce or other toppings

Tread Lightly Caravan

Today I attended the Tread lightly caravan and learnt

how to save the earth from global warming and to save water for the future. our group started at the geckos and vine person game Me,Anamanu, and Nathaniel started off

first and Lisiate was rolling the dice for us and asking us the question.

After that we went to the caravan and went straight to the touch screen computer. We were on an activity

that asks us what we do in our house with our electricity,food ,water, and transportation.

we were having fun in the caravan especially with the

microscope our group was laughing at our own skin

it was pretty interesting.

Netball Session 3

Netball

On our 3rd netball session we learnt how to fake step,chest pass,driving,goal shooting,and swift movements. These techniques

are really interesting and fun at the same time  i felt happy around

everyone that was in my team after we finished everything we were

learning we moved on to a game the game was you had to call three or four numbers they had to try and get the ball to the hoop and get it in then run back put the ball in the right spot where it came

from.

Next time I would try to learn more about netball can’t wait till the next session.
